Oswestry Borderland Tourism

Let OBT promote your business for one year for £65.00

August 2020 – latest information for tourism businesses regarding corona virus is here. 

We invite you to join Oswestry Borderland Tourism – the only organisation that exists solely to promote Oswestry and The Welsh Borderlands to new and returning visitors.

What we do:
www.visitoswestry.co.uk – Create and promote Oswestry and The Borderlands via this web site. Redesigned in 2020 to a new format, the site is growing year on year and had a 10% increase on 2019 figures in July.

@Oswestrytourism – promote via Facebook. Initiatives include promotion of member events, news and stunning local images.

@OswestryTourism – promote via Instagram. The local area is shown in images taken by local photographer Graham Mitchell.

Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin – all promote the town and area with opportunities for members to feature

Break for the Borderlands – visitors’ newsletter which is sent regularly to approx. 1000 interested visitors.

Oswestry – where Shropshire meets Wales brochure – 35,000 copies distributed throughout England

Oswestry Town TIC – we operate the new town TIC at Castle View, Arthur Street.

Working together – OBT is represented on Oswestry BID and Visit Shropshire Boards. Oswestry Town Council supports OBT and we work closely with them to promote the town. Shropshire Tourism Action Group – we are members along with Shropshire Council, Telford and Wrekin Council, Shrewsbury BID and other county tourism groups.

Oswestry Borderland Tourism Ltd. is a not for profit organisation and, with the help of our staff, the company is managed by a board of members who volunteer their time to help promote Oswestry and The Borderlands.

Membership is £65 per year. Basic membership includes an entry on the web site e.g. Hotel, restaurant, attractions etc.   Enhanced memberships are also available with opportunities to be featured on the web site, Facebook and Instagram.
