How to get to Oswestry
Where is Oswestry?
Oswestry is located in the county of Shropshire, 66 miles west of Birmingham and close to the Welsh Border. The A5 trunk road passes Oswestry en-route to Holyhead for travel to Ireland. Shropshire is England’s largest inland county and one of the quietest and most beautiful. If you want to escape the everyday then visit Shropshire soon. Oswestry town is almost surrounded by Wales and the border location is the reason that visitors can now enjoy so many different places to visit. Once the borders had to be protected and that left a wonderful mix of castles and fortifications that once guarded the border.
