Oswestry – Cafe Culture

Cafe Culture – the idea could come from Oswestry! Morning coffee, afternoon tea, light lunches or a hearty Borderland lunch – you’ll be spoilt for choice. Be tempted by home-made delicacies and cakes – let’s celebrate local produce and enjoy the coffee and tea shops in and around Oswestry.

Where to choose? Oswestry Town centre has a delicious mix of coffee and tea shops. You could enjoy a coffee whilst browsing in our award winning book shop or the antiques Emporium or bring your dog – he’ll be welcome in the quaint coffee shop at The Visitor & Exhibition Centre. You could take an elegant afternoon tea in Oswestry’s oldest hotel or explore some of Oswestry’s hidden alleyways and discover more than one tasty tea room. If people watching is your idea of fun, then choose somewhere right on the high street on market day.

Taking your taste buds on a tour and you could be enjoying your cuppa in the tea room of one of our local castles or take a stroll round a walled garden before you reward yourself with something scrummy. There are lovely country house hotels too, just right for an afternoon drive and a finale of afternoon tea.
