  • Profile

The Tanat Valley Light Railway Company own almost 2 miles of this historically important section of local railway history.

It is the last remaining section of the ‘Old Potts’ which ran in its heyday from the Abbey station in Shrewsbury out to Criggion, Llanymynech and Nant Mawr, because this section was never built as a passenger carrying railway you have the opportunity to view the historic setting in a way that its builders never envisaged.

Set along a tree lined avenue, bordered on the one side a stream teeming with wildlife the journey along this compact and important piece of railway heritage is one not to be missed.
