Heritage Open Days take place every September and they are England’s biggest festival of history. Oswestry celebrates them with a huge programme of events and visits – many that are not available for the rest of the year.  At the Visitor Centre we have an exhibition about Wilfred Owen, Barbara Pym and King Oswald. We offer free guided town tours on Saturday 8th & 15th September. On Sunday 9th we have talks by Dave Andrews about his new book on Wilfred Owen and on September 14th – 16th we have a 17th century musketeer and his wife in residence.
