Playing on The Edge Bring your clubs, your paintbrushes or just yourself. Scenery to inspire the artist or challenge the golfer, this Welsh Borderland has so much to offer when it’s time to relax. The borderland countryside grows its own special activities so be prepared for something different.
Planning a few days golf? There are course both sides of the border – in fact on one you tee off in England and play into Wales. The Shropshire plains give you glorious parkland courses too, a course for every day of the week! Be prepared to return!
It has to be said that it’s a perfect place for walkers too and the difference is the variety. There is a walk for every day and each one is exceptional and as challenging as you would like it to be. There is Offa’s Dyke and the Old Racecourse and the canal towpaths and we have hardly started. A week just won’t be long enough! Something really different? How unique is taking a hawk for a walk?
Are you a gardener? From the grandest castle gardens to the smallest cottage gems, you can enjoy your holiday while you are admiring someone else’s hard work! You may be tempted to take home the odd plant or two for your own patch but don’t think how much the weeds have grown whilst you have been away!
You could try a little fishing, or horse riding, maybe canoeing or rock climbing.
You may have realised by now that this land of ours will draw you back and you will always be welcome.
