Thursday December 10th saw the launch of the 2010-11 'escape' brochure.
A gathering of Oswestry Borderland Tourism members and staff, others working within tourism in Shropshire and representatives of Hunterbevan, the firm responsible for producing 'escape', came together in the Guildhall in Oswestry.
All had time to peruse and discuss the new publication as they munched on mince pies. They heard the chairman of Oswestry Borderland Tourism, Miss Betty Gull, thank Hunterbevan and T.I.C staff for their hard work.
The editorials give a good insight into what Oswestry itself, as a town, has to offer as well as the surrounding towns and villages. The front cover shows the Pontecysytlle Aqueduct, quite rightly so, as it is the pride of the whole area after being given World Heritage status in 2009.
A new innovation this year will be a PDF version of the brochure on the website. Everyone will be able to see, not only the accommodation adverts, but those of all the businesses and organisations who have placed adverts with us. We do thank them for their support.
