Educational Tours
We specialise in Educational Tours and welcome enquiries from school parties.

Oswestry Guided Tours

Our 1940’s tours, allows children to experience what it must have been like to be an evacuee arriving in Oswestry.

Also available our new Tudor New Tudor Tour for School Groups.

Find out about the difference between the rich and poor in Tudor times. Follow Mistress Duncan a poor market trader on her way to market or Mistress Ellis Housekeeper to the Governor of the town on her daily tasks.

Tour lasts about 1 hour and then time for a classroom session where the children get to test what they have picked up on the tour. They get to see and feel Tudor objects. Suitable for Key Stage 2 and Teachers pack available.

 

If you are a school then these tours make for an excellent educational outing. We will customise them to suit your needs. We also offer

  • Victorian Tour - find out about the buldings of the town/who would live in them.
  • 1940s tour find out what it was like to be an evacuee to the town.
