The Oswestry Food & Drink Festival is being brought to life by a small band of local people who simply want to provide a brilliant opportunity, over 2 (blissfully sunny days – we hope) to showcase the amazing food and talent in and around Oswestry and the Borders – and have a most enjoyable and fun day for everyone in the town! Not to mention, tasting the odd sausage or two. The food festival takes place in July every year.
For Oswestry Food and Drink Festival our small market town of Oswestry on the borders of Shropshire and Wales opens its streets to the finest local food producers of this borderland country – and it’s free! Enjoy two days of tasting and enjoying the finest local produce as you wander the streets of our market town. Oswestry is renowned for its café culture so you will never be far from a welcoming coffee shop if you need a cuppa after using all that energy wandering round the stalls.
Summer weekends are just the time to enjoy a pint or two too and Cambrian Heritage Railways host their beer festival over both days of the Food festival. Don’t miss local brews from Stonehouse Brewery – you can visit the brewery too if you have time.
It isn’t just about the food though. Bring the family on Saturday and visit Cae Glas Park where local football team, TNS host a family fun day. Sunday in the Park is more chilled out with Reggae in the Park in the Victorian Band Stand so just the place for a picnic enjoying all the lovely flavours you bought at the Food Festival. 2017 July 15th and 16th.
