Oswestry Show is held on the first Saturday in August each year. A committee of approximately 40 volunteers and one part time Show Manager administers the staging of this event. The principle aim of the Show is to promote agriculture and rural ideas to the surrounding community.
Our visitors can enjoy browsing around our Food Hall, Craft and Business Marquees and over 100 trade stands. The Society is proud that we are still able to attract a high percentage of agricultural stands. |

Set in a stunning setting on the edge of the River Severn, the West Mid Agricultural Showground, off Berwick Road in Shrewsbury, is one of the oldest and most established showgrounds in the UK.
Home of the Shropshire County Agricultural Show and the Shropshire County Horse Show, the 53-acre ground lends itself to all sorts of events from a wedding reception with 100 guests to the four-day Shrewsbury Folk Festival – which attracted more than 20,000 visitors in 2011.
The next Shropshire County Agricultural Show will be held on 26 May 2012 and we are busy planning another action packed day, so keep your eye on this website for more details!
New for 2012 is the Shropshire County Horse Show, to take place on 19th May.
